Michalis Ioannou

Michalis Ioannou is an Associate Lawyer at Loizides & Associates LLC. Michalis has extensive experience in corporate law, having represented Cypriot companies with multi-million-euro assets in complex and high-value proceedings, including the provision of legal advice and court representation in matters relating to mergers, acquisitions, derivative actions, and capital reductions. Stavrina Karakatsiani is the Head of the Limassol Department at Loizides & Associates LLC and a seasoned litigation, arbitration and mediation practitioner with extensive experience at both national and international levels. Over the course of her career, she has developed a strong reputation for handling complex, high-value disputes, while also establishing a focused expertise in employment and workplace-related matters, particularly within international and corporate environments.

A graduate of the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, she commenced her legal career with a traineeship at one of the largest law firms in Cyprus. She has since built over a decade of experience advising and representing clients in demanding legal environments, combining strategic legal thinking with a practical, solution-driven approach.

Ms. Karakatsiani has acted in multi-million-euro commercial and institutional disputes, representing a broad spectrum of clients from Cyprus and abroad, including private companies, international investors, major institutions, the Parliament of the Republic of Cyprus, a leading university, and one of the country’s largest professional associations. Her experience spans appearances before all levels of the Cypriot courts, as well as arbitration proceedings, in matters involving commercial disputes, administrative law, banking litigation, employment claims, and complex multi-party proceedings.

Alongside her dispute resolution practice, she has developed substantial expertise in employment law, advising both local and international companies on a wide range of workplace issues. Michalis Karakatsianis

Michalis is the Managing Director of a well-established Cyprus Investment Firm and the Chief Operating Officer of a Multinational Group with offices in Spain, Malta, Cyprus and the United Kingdom.

He studied in the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he got his BSc in Economics with focus in Banking and Finance. He holds an LCCI qualification in accounting and passed CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Level I. Michalis also passed CySEC’s advanced examination in 2013.

Before being an Executive Director, he worked both as a COO and Chief Dealing Officer in other reputable investment firms.

Evangelos Evangelou
